| Today we introduced Sammy to the Jack o' Lantern. She had a good time scooping out the seeds and getting all yucky. Mommy bought one of those kits at Walmart that is supposed to help you cut pumpkins without loosing fingers. If you haven't tried one yet, and you are planning on making a jack o' lantern in the future, I highly recommend it. I always did them with a kitchen knife in the past and produced something that did not entirely look unlike a smiley face or evil grin. With those little tiny saws and knives in the $10 kit, it is SO much easier. We did it outside to avoid a mess in the house and the animals decided to pop in and see what was going on. Bob looks somewhat cynical about the whole thing. | |
