Owen hanging out with his swag. Swag is the free stuff that they give away when you go to a professional conference in hopes that you will buy their product. It's also the free stuff that you get after you buy their product and they don't want you to feel bad about how much you spent. When they wheeled Owen out of his cochlear implant surgery he had the Cochlear Koala in his crib. In the following weeks before his hookup they sent us a tote bag, free battery holder and all sorts of stuff with the Cochlear logo on it. Even the T-shirt he's wearing is swag from the PICU at Duke. You'll also see Owen licking his Koosh ball. He went through a phase for a few weeks when he had to lick everything that he picked up. I'm glad that phase passed quickly! |
