Animal Kingdom - Part 1
|
|
While Sammy visited Grandma and Grandpa Higgins in Vero Beach, Mommy and Daddy took their own
little vacation to Disney's Animal Kingdom. We stayed in a room that overlooked the
Savannah and saw giraffe and zebras and all kinds of other animals right from our balcony.
The hotel is almost completely surrounded by a Savannah with animals of all types roaming around.
It was fun to just walk around the hotel at different times of the day to see what the
animals were up to.
On the first day we also visited the Animal Kingdom park as well, which is separate from the hotel
grounds.

As you enter the Animal Kingdom park, the first thing that catches your eye is the enormous
"Tree of Life". It can be seen from just about anywhere in the park. In the bark
is carved hundreds of animal faces. This close-up shows some of them.
