A very special day. The very nice teachers in the toddler room at Sammy's school (and the very
nice lady that runs the school) let Owen come in and join the other kids for a day. He had such a
good time. He joined in when they were singing songs. The teacher chose songs with lots of hand motions
that all the kids knew and Owen waved his hands while they sang. In the pictures below he joined them
for snack. The little girl in the purple dress sitting next to Owen is Solana, who is the daughter of
family friends. Since she knew Owen she "adopted" him for the day and helped bring him toys and sat
next to him during song time.
We had planned to have him come back again several times before the end of the year, but
he ended up needing a new shunt for his cochlear implant and so this was the only day that he got to go.
Hopefully next year he will be able to join them again.
