We got some pictures with Grandma and Grandpa Q before they headed back. Many thanks to them and Christie
for all their help with getting things ready for the party.

This year we decided to move the deck to the other side of the pool so that you didn't have to climb a
ladder to get in and could instead use some nice steps to walk in. We re-used the deck that I had built
right after the pool was put in and moved it. Chris built the supports to hold it up. We had that part
done a few weeks before the party. The last two days before the party were a mad dash for my Dad and I
to finish the step down to the deck and to build the railings on the sides to keep little ones from falling off.
It was two hot days of work, but in the end we had an awesome setup that is just so much better than the
rickety old ladder we had. Dad and I thought it was worth a pose to congratulate ourselves.

I tried to get some better pictures of Owen sitting in his Bumbo today. The blanket I put up for a
backdrop kept falling down, but it's still a great show!
